Upgraded Galaxy S25 Phones by Samsung Deliver Enhanced Performance and Advanced AI Features
Samsung Unveils Galaxy S25 Series: A Solid Spec Upgrade
Samsung has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. These devices represent a significant leap forward in terms of performance, features, and design.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra, the top-tier model, boasts a 6.9" QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a 120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate, providing a vibrant and smooth visual experience. It comes equipped with 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
The S25 Ultra also features a 200MP Wide AF OIS main camera, a 50MP Wide AF OIS ultrawide camera, a 10MP 3x Tele AF OIS telephoto camera, and an additional 10MP 5x Tele AF OIS telephoto camera. This powerful camera setup allows for high-resolution macro shots, zoom photos, and videos, as well as the ability to record 4K video at 120fps.
The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus, while slightly less powerful, still pack a punch. They feature a 6.2" FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display and a 6.7" QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display respectively, both with a 120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate. They also come with 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128GB to 256GB.
All three devices in the Galaxy S25 series use the new 3-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite CPUs, offering a performance boost of 37% in CPU performance, 30% in GPU performance, and 40% in NPU performance over the S24 series.
In terms of design, Samsung has refined its design language, with slightly rounded corners for better ergonomics. The S25 Ultra continues the titanium frame with softer edges, unifying the product family’s look.
The Galaxy S25 series comes in four colourways: Icyblue, Navy, Mint, and Silver Shadow. Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25 Plus, and S25 start today, with the phones hitting shelves starting February 7, 2025.
The devices also feature Samsung's fast charging technology, including Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare. They all come with Android 15 and a Samsung One UI 7 overlay.
In addition, the S25 Ultra features an embedded S Pen, and includes high-res macro shots, high-res zoom photos/video, and Zebra Pattern. The S25 and S25 Plus have a 50MP Wide AF OIS main camera, a 12MP Ultra Wide camera, and a 10MP 3x Tele AF OIS telephoto camera.
All three devices have 5G and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and are IP68 rated, featuring Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and Armor Aluminum (Frame) or Titanium (Frame). They also include the same biometrics as previous Samsung phones, with an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and face recognition through the selfie camera.
The Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra all have a 12MP Wide AF selfie camera, and are capable of recording 4K video at 60fps. The S25 Ultra can record 4K video at 120fps for the main camera and 60fps for the selfie camera.
Samsung is offering a trade-in deal for the Galaxy S24 Ultra with up to $950 off. The new Galaxy S25 series also comes with features such as the ProVisual Engine, HDR Portraits, Selfie AI ISP, Nightography, and Log Video.
The Galaxy S25 measures 2.78 x 5.78 x 0.28 inches and weighs 0.36 pounds, the S25 Plus measures 2.98 x 6.24 x 0.28 inches and weighs 0.42 pounds, and the S25 Ultra measures 3.05 x 6.41 x 0.32 inches and weighs 0.48 pounds.
The Galaxy S25 series marks a significant step forward for Samsung, offering improved performance, innovative features, and a sleek design. Pre-orders are now available, with devices hitting shelves on February 7, 2025.
