Upcoming Release:

BetRivers to Extend Multi-State Liquidity Network, Following PA Entry by BetMGM and WSOP

Upcoming Release:

Pump up the volume, folks! Rush Street Interactive (RSI) is shaking things up in the online poker world, officially confirming they're expanding BetRivers Poker into multiple states.

Just like a well-timed poker bluff, RSI dropped the news via press release on Tuesday. They've got their sights set on leveraging Pennsylvania's entry into the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) and approved shared player liquidity.

By joining forces with PA, BetRivers Poker will bring more tables, larger prize pools, and the exciting opportunity for players to take on opponents from various states - all on one rocking BetRivers platform. More details, including a press release, are on the way!

The announcement follows Pennsylvania's recent entry into the MSIGA. BetMGM Poker and WSOP were quick to tap into the bigger player pool and now, it's BetRivers Poker's turn to join the party, currently live only in Pennsylvania.

RSI hasn't revealed their timeline for the shared liquidity rollout or which states are on deck, but they seem to be ready for a four- or five-state network. With behind-the-scenes expansion efforts underway in New Jersey and Michigan, both big MSIGA states, it appears they're well on their way.

As for the rest of the deck, RSI holds exclusive market access in Delaware, where they expect to eventually roll out online poker, and they might even be the first to offer regulated online poker in West Virginia.

By year's end, BetRivers Poker could be working a five-state shared liquidity network, potentially taking the lead as the only operator with that multistate presence.

BetMGM and WSOP Dish Out Promotions

This has been a game-changing month for Pennsylvania online poker players and the regulated US online poker market. PA officially joined the MSIGA compact, and BetMGM and WSOP swiftly grabbed the opportunity.

Both operators launched celebratory promotions. BetMGM went all-in with a freeroll and a $1 million guaranteed weekend series, while WSOP announced its online bracelet schedule, now open to players across all four compact states for the first time. It's been a tough beat for PokerStars, still waiting in the wings.

BetRivers Poker Steps Up Its Game

With BetRivers signaling its intention to launch a multistate online poker network, there's potential for the first-ever five-state shared liquidity pool in the US. That would be a helluva feat for a platform that's barely six months old. If they follow through, BetRivers could steal the show and become the market leader in terms of state reach within its first year.

Although its player pool in Pennsylvania is smaller compared to more established competitors, BetRivers has built a solid following. Cash games and tournaments have been consistently filling during peak hours.

The launch was small but mighty, with the operator relying heavily on word-of-mouth and external promotion from Phil Galfond, founder of Run It Once Poker, and the site's lead ambassador. But then things got real – they introduced a Rakeback Revolution initiative, rebating all rake through rewards, overlays, and promotions. They've also stepped up marketing efforts, launched regular software upgrades, and added improvements to their game offerings. It's about to get even hotter, as they're preparing to introduce Progressive Knockouts (PKOs) once the shared liquidity network has launched.

So far, the only major area where BetRivers lagged was multi-state expansion. But that's changing, it's finally on track to join the ranks of long-established operators with shared liquidity networks.

Stay tuned for more updates on BetRivers Poker's online poker platform and plans to expand its player pool, which they are expected to discuss during their first-quarter earnings call with investors on Wednesday, followed by the details in a press release.
