Unveiled identity of the enigmatic individual who purchased Katie Price's haunted estate, affectionately known as the Mucky Mansion, for £1.1 million, following the celebrity's assertion that the property is shrouded in a curse.

The once-notorious 'Mucky Mansion' in West Sussex, a property that gained infamy due to its run-down state and the dramatic issues that took place there, has new owners. James Mercer, a furniture tycoon, and his long-term partner, Leike Qu, have purchased the property from former owner Katie Price.

James Mercer bought the 12-acre estate, which includes a nine-bedroom mansion, in January 2023 for £1.15 million. This was a significant discount from the original price Katie Price paid, as James paid around £200,000 less than the initial amount.

The 'Mucky Mansion' became notorious for its dilapidated state, with many rooms in desperate need of renovation. The swimming pool was left empty, and the overall condition of the property was neglected. Katie Price admitted to the mucky state of the mansion, which was featured in Channel 4's Katie Price: 'Mucky Mansion' in 2022.

Tragedy struck at the 'Mucky Mansion' when Katie Price faced personal loss, with the death of her horse, German Shepherd, and a dog she bought for her daughter, Princess. Despite these challenges, Katie was booted out of the mansion due to her bankruptcy in May. She was served an eviction notice following her second bankruptcy.

Any money made from the sale of the 'Mucky Mansion' will be swallowed up by the debts she ran up against it while living there. The property was initially advertised for £2 million but failed to find a buyer at that price. The asking price was later slashed, and it was eventually put up for sale with an initial price tag of £1.5 million.

Now, construction work is ongoing at the 'Mucky Mansion' with scaffolding surrounding it. James Mercer and Leike Qu are working to transform the property, turning the neglected mansion into a home once again. The 'Mucky Mansion' saga, filled with personal tragedy and financial struggles, is now a new chapter for its new owners.
