On Saturday, September 21, 2024, a tragic accident occurred on I-580 eastbound, west of First Street in Livermore. A pedestrian, a 24-year-old woman from Pleasant Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene after exiting a black 2018 Audi's front passenger seat under suspicious circumstances. The driver of the Audi left the scene without reporting the incident and was later arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run in Tracy.
