In a tragic turn of events, emergency services in Hamburg have concluded their search operations for missing swimmers at the Alster and the Elbe, as well as a lake in Allermöhe.
The rescue mission, led by the Hamburg Fire Department, began in the evening and involved the use of advanced technology such as helicopters, special sonar devices, and a search drone. Approximately 40 to 50 emergency services were deployed at the Alster.
The search at the Alster concluded with the recovery of a lifeless person underwater. Despite resuscitation efforts by the rescue team, the individual could not be revived. The doctor confirmed the tragic news of the person's death.
The deceased was identified as a woman in her mid-50s who had disappeared underwater in the Alster. The Hamburg Fire Department reported the unfortunate incident.
At the Elbe and Allermöhe, the search operations ended unsuccessfully, with no trace of the missing persons found.
