Unparalleled Achievements of Elon Musk with Tesla: Neither BYD nor Xiaomi have been able to replicate what he has accomplished

In the dynamic world of the automotive industry, Tesla, the renowned electric car brand, has found itself in a challenging position. Once a pioneer and a leader in the electric vehicle market, Tesla is currently grappling with a significant drop in popularity and shares.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has been at the helm of the brand since its inception. However, his involvement in politics, particularly his support for former US President Donald Trump, seems to have had a detrimental impact on Tesla's popularity. This shift in public perception is evident in the brand's fall from the 9th most loved brand in 2021 to the 65th spot in 2024.

Tesla's struggles are not just limited to its reputation. The brand registered a 14% drop in vehicle deliveries in its second quarter accounts. This decline is a stark contrast to other brands that manage to sell cars every 2 minutes, while Tesla grapples with its deliveries.

The brand's troubles have not gone unnoticed. Analysts admit that Tesla is going through a terrible crisis and have called on Musk and the company's leaders to be clear and work to solve this problem. The constant broken promises, such as the FSD (Full Self-Driving) function, have contributed to the loss of confidence of buyers.

The situation has become so serious that Tesla could be headed for failure, similar to a once-prestigious German brand. This sentiment is echoed in the "Electric Vehicle Intelligence Report" survey, which has labeled Tesla as one of the most hated electric car brands by consumers. General Motors, Kia, and Ford each have only 13% of negative opinions from respondents, while Tesla occupies the last spot in popularity in a list of 19 brands, with 39% of respondents having a negative opinion.

The survey, conducted in spring and summer 2025, polled over 8,000 people. A significant finding from the survey is that 61% of Tesla's shareholders want Elon Musk to stop getting involved in politics, while 51% want Musk to dedicate more time to Tesla.

Despite the US President's apparent positive view of Tesla and Elon Musk and his criticism of the current challenges the company faces, the brand's shares have fallen dramatically. Shares have fallen 5% in five days, 35% in the last month, and 42% so far this year.

However, it's important to note that the problem with Tesla appears to be the brand and the loss of confidence of buyers, rather than the quality of its products. As Tesla navigates through this challenging period, the focus will be on rebuilding confidence and regaining its former glory.
