Unmatched Scenery Found Exclusively in Dresden Elbland!

The picturesque wine culture landscape of Elbland in Saxony is once again set to host one of the most popular wine events in Dresden, the Days of Open Wine Estates. This year, the event will take place from 30th to 31st August 2025, and promises to be an unforgettable experience for wine enthusiasts.

The special bus lines 850 and 852 will run every 20 minutes, connecting the various winemakers along the Elbe. These lines will link Diesbar-Seußlitz to Radebeul and Meißen bus station to Sörnewitz, respectively, ensuring comfortable commuting for all. Notably, children under school age will travel free of charge on the special bus service.

Newcomers to this year's event are the Besen Shacks Haselbusch and Flack's Beverage Gourmet. The Besen Shacks Haselbusch invites visitors to enjoy Flammkuchen and wine with a spectacular view directly under the Friedensburg on the weekend. At Flack's, there's the opportunity to taste 16 Saxon wines on Thursday and Friday.

The event showcases the long journey from the grape plant to the fine drop, and highlights the people who contribute with heart and expertise to viticulture in Saxony. Alongside major wine estates, many smaller wine estates and farmhouse wineries will participate. Some wineries will offer creative formats such as concerts, rock 'n' roll music, "Loosecco Night," "Goat Wine," and demonstrations of traditional craftsmanship.

Wine tastings, vineyard and cellar tours, culinary extras, live music, and art exhibitions are part of the programme. The event will feature 50 Saxon wine estates and wineries, and transfer between the two lines is possible at the Meißen bus station and the Alten Wasserwerk in Sörnewitz.

For those planning to visit multiple wineries, a special shuttle service provided by the Meißen Transportation Company ensures relaxed mobility during the event weekend. A special fare applies for the shuttle: A day ticket costs 10 euros per person and allows unlimited use of both lines and the Elbe ferry between Seußlitz and Niederlommatzsch throughout the day.

Oppacher Mineral Sources GmbH is supporting the Days of Open Wine Estates as a sponsor for the first time. A highlight of the event is the participation of the Saxon State Foundation for Nature and Environment (LaNU), which will open its vineyard at Burgberg in Meissen for visitors on August 30, 2025, offering organic wine and guided tours focusing on local insects.
