The University of Wyoming (UW) has announced proposed tuition and fee increases for the 2026-27 academic year, seeking public comment on the matter. The university administration's recommendations are scheduled for consideration by the UW Board of Trustees on September 24-26.

According to the information provided, the proposed tuition changes aim to support university operations and maintain educational quality. A table outlining the standard tuition rates for the 2025-26 academic year and the administration's recommendations for the 2026-27 academic year can be found online.

For nonresident students, main campus undergraduate tuition rates are proposed to increase by one percent, while undergraduate and graduate base distance tuition rates, as well as main campus graduate tuition rates for nonresidents, are proposed to increase by four percent. The University of Wyoming's College of Law tuition rates are also proposed to increase by at least four percent.

For resident students, a four percent increase in undergraduate and graduate base tuition rates is being proposed. However, no information about changes to main campus undergraduate tuition rates for Wyoming residents was provided in this paragraph.

The public comment deadline for the proposed tuition changes is 11:59 p.m. on August 31. Those wishing to comment on the tuition increase can do so online.
