Uninvolved driver apprehended outside the disco, under police scrutiny
On the evening of June 29th, an incident outside a disco on Rolshover Straße in Cologne-Poll resulted in multiple injuries and arrests.
Initial investigations suggest the incident followed an argument between an 18-year-old and a 23-year-old. According to reports, the 23-year-old allegedly threw a glass bottle at the 18-year-old, shattering the rear window of the Opel Corsa driven by the younger individual. Club security staff then used pepper spray towards the 18-year-old through the open car window before the collision.
The 18-year-old lost consciousness following the incident and was taken to a clinic. A doctor took a blood sample from the 18-year-old due to suspicion of alcohol and drug consumption. The Opel Corsa was impounded by the police.
Unfortunately, the 18-year-old's erratic driving led to a traffic accident. A 20-year-old woman and two men aged 32 and 40 were also involved in the incident and were taken to a clinic with injuries.
The 23-year-old was also taken into custody by the police. However, the name of the 23-year-old who threw the glass bottle at the 18-year-old is not provided in the available search results.
The traffic accident investigation team arrived at the scene to gather evidence and conduct further investigations. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that can arise from arguments escalating, especially in crowded and lively areas such as nightclubs.
Stay safe, and let's hope for a swift recovery for all those involved.
