Unified Reyk takes over poker scenes in Almaty's clubs
Poker Clubs in Almaty Agree on Cash Game Standards
Last year, key poker venue operators in Almaty organized a meeting to discuss their joint operations and establish some ground rules. The focus was on setting fair standards for cash games, especially for Texas Hold'em and Omaha.
In attendance were influential figures from various clubs: Alexander (Asia Poker), Dilshat (Grand Bingo), Oleg (Golden Leon), Andrey (Golden Dragon), and Mikhail (Flamingo, representing Chinese online poker club Poker Bro's). They gathered to establish a coalition and level the playing field by working collaboratively, rather than competing and undercutting each other's commissions.
The ultimate goal is to elevate the service and comfort provided to players in each club, ensuring a superior experience overall. This joint effort aims to end the confusion about where to play, allowing players to choose the most convenient, comfortable, and appealing club according to their preferences.
As Andrey Raikhman, director of Poker club Golden Dragon, explained, "We're simply in the same business. And a proposal was made to regulate our work under 'one roof' to stop competing with 'pipettes' and work in harmony."
Here are the rake percentages for Texas Hold'em No Limit and Omaha Pot Limit games at different table stakes:
