In the heart of Brooklyn's Cypress Hills area, skeletal remains were discovered along the Jackie Robinson Parkway on August 6. The remains were found near the westbound Exit 1 by Department of Transportation workers.

The victim, who remains unidentified, is described as a female of possible Black or Hispanic descent. She has dark brown curly hair with bleached ends and is between 4 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 2 inches tall. The city medical examiner's office is still determining the cause of death.

The woman was wearing a silver metal ring with a pink heart-shaped diamond and had a piercing. A distinctive rose tattoo adorns her upper-left buttock, offering a potential clue for identification.

The NYPD is asking for help from New Yorkers to identify this woman. The public can submit tips anonymously via the Crime Stoppers website or by calling the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477). For Spanish speakers, the number is 888-57-PISTA (74782).

Anyone with information that could help identify this woman is urged to come forward. The city and the NYPD hope to bring closure to this tragic case and provide answers for the victim's family.
