Unfortunate Turn of Events: As Captured by LPI-J
On Tuesday morning, a 61-year-old bus driver endured a harrowing experience while travelling along county road 512 between Daasdorf a. Berge and Ottstedt a. Berge. According to news aktuell, an unknown van approached him and failed to drive as far to the right as possible, resulting in a collision of both vehicles' side mirrors.
The unlucky man handed over the bus to a relief driver at the scene and, unfortunately, the other driver escaped undetected. Barely two hours later, the man called the police again. On the same stretch, in a left curve, another van approached him, and their side mirrors collided once more.
After the accident was recorded by the police, the 61-year-old changed buses due to the damage. The perpetrator involved in these two accidents on the same day, fleeing each time, is a driver of a vehicle whose identity has not been publicly disclosed yet. However, the Thuringian Police have noted the registration plates of the van, and investigations are ongoing.
If you wish to contact the Thuringian Police, you can reach out to the Jena Police Inspectorate or the Weimar Police Inspectorate. Their contact emails are as follows:
