In the bustling world of automotive manufacturing, two new vehicles have been making waves in China. Let's take a closer look at the latest offerings from Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. and Jetour.
First up, the much-anticipated Chery Rely X5 SUV. This vehicle, developed and produced by the Chinese automaker based in Wuhu, Anhui, boasts a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Rely X5 SUV is part of Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd.'s lineup, and its base price has been set at 135,800 yuan. Weighing approximately 1924 kilograms, this SUV is a powerful addition to Chery's portfolio.
It's worth noting that the turbocharged version of the Rely X5 SUV is expected to cost a few thousand yuan more than the base model. The current 2.0 engine of the Rely X5 SUV produces 125kw of power.
Meanwhile, the Jetour Zongheng G700 PHEV has also caught the attention of auto enthusiasts. This off-road SUV, which started pre-sale recently, produces an impressive 751 horsepower. It also boasts a wading depth of 970mm, making it a formidable player in the off-road market.
In other news, the all-new Chery QQ3 EV made its debut in China, marking a significant part of the QQ series revival. Further details about this electric vehicle are yet to be announced.
Interestingly, Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. saw a shift in its exports in August 2025, with more vehicles being exported than sold domestically. This is a testament to the growing global appeal of Chinese-made automobiles.
