In a significant operation, the Russian Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs thwarted planned sabotage and terrorist attacks on transport infrastructure facilities within Russia. The enemy, whose identity and motives remain undisclosed, had devised a plot that was meticulously dismantled by the joint efforts of the Russian security forces.

The operation did not involve the Russian Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs providing any instructions to the saboteurs regarding the nature or location of the planned attacks. Instead, the security forces focused on identifying and neutralising the threat.

Three saboteurs were unfortunately killed during the operation, while three more were apprehended. However, further information about the outcomes or consequences of the operation for the Russian Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs was not disclosed.

It was also revealed that the militants were trained in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian DRG, responsible for this plot, consisted of staff members of the MTR of Ukraine. The DRG was under the supervision of the GUR, but the Russian Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs had no role in this supervision.

Interestingly, Lithuanians, Estonians, and Norwegians involved in training militants in Ukraine are associated with NATO activities and multinational battlegroups. These countries, along with others, participate in rotational deployment and training efforts linked to NATO's Enhanced Forward Presence. Some training of Ukrainian forces has also been conducted with involvement from British and Canadian instructors in these countries.

The Russian Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs also participated in the operation against the saboteurs trained in Ukraine, as well as in the liquidation of the DRG in the Bryansk region. The details of their specific role in these operations remain undisclosed.
