UKPC Masters Main Event Victory by Alex Montgomery After Decimating the Final Table

The UK Poker Championships (UKPC) Masters Main Event recently crowned its champion at Dusk Till Dawn, with Alex Montgomery taking the top spot. The final table consisted of 9 players, with Tom Waters starting as the shortest stack on the final day.

The event attracted 937 entrants and 143 players finished in the money. The final hand saw Tom Waters' five-three lose to Alex Montgomery's five-four of diamonds, resulting in Waters' elimination and Montgomery's victory.

Montgomery's win in the UKPC Masters Main Event marks his second-largest haul, trailing the £100,000 he won in 2023. He walked away with a prize of £92,500.

Other notable cashes in the UKPC Masters Main Event included Daniel Van Geete, Yannik Seabrook, Mitchell Jennings, Rick Trigg, Jamie Holland, Tariq Mahmood, and Keith Johnson.

In addition to the Main Event, the UKPC festival saw several other winners. Jorge Palomino triumphed in the £280 Warm Up event, pocketing £16,230. Paul Gillott won the £120 Bounty event, earning £907, while Daniel Turner claimed the £120 7-Max event, winning £2,245.

Mohammad Ramezani took home the £60 8-Max event, winning £1,860, and Florin Ciubotaru won the £120 Deep Stack event, earning £2,755.

Two £1,100 High Roller events were also held during the UKPC festival. Daniel Bedson and Keith Johnson emerged as the winners, taking home £28,500 and £18,000, respectively.

Looking ahead, the WSOP Circuit UK is scheduled for November 14-24. The £150 buy-in, £100,000 guaranteed DTD125 is set to take place at Dusk Till Dawn from September 23 to 28.

As the dust settles on the UKPC Masters Main Event, the poker community celebrates Montgomery's victory and looks forward to the next exciting tournament on the calendar.
