New Citroën C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid Now Available for Order

Citroën has expanded its C5 Aircross lineup with the introduction of a plug-in hybrid version. The new model, priced at £38,855 OTR MRRP, is now open for orders.

The New C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid comes equipped with rechargeable hybrid technology, featuring a 150hp turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and a 125hp electric motor. This powertrain allows the vehicle to run exclusively on electric power in Electric mode, switch between electric and petrol power, or use both based on performance needs in Hybrid mode.

The Plug-In Hybrid model is available at the Max trim level, which comes equipped with a 360-degree camera, an extended head-up display, heated front seats and steering wheel, hands-free electric tailgate, and Drive Assist Pack 2.0 with semi-autonomous features. However, the exact date when orders can be placed is not specified.

The New C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid can be fully recharged in just 2 hours and 55 minutes using a 7.4kW AC charger. It boasts a 21kWh battery for its plug-in hybrid system, but the New C5 Aircross MAX trim does not have a specific battery or charging time mentioned.

The New C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid has a peak power output of 195hp when operating together. The cabin layout is inspired by home furniture design, with wide, padded surfaces and sofa-like contours. The seats feature plush, high-density foam, optional ventilation, and massage functions.
