In a heart-wrenching turn of events, two Kerala women, Vipanchika and Athulya, have lost their lives under suspicious circumstances, with domestic abuse allegations looming over both cases.

Vipanchika, a mother of a young girl named Vaibhavi, was found dead along with her daughter in their Al Nahda apartment in Sharjah on July 8. A hand-written suicide note, believed to have been penned by Vipanchika, accused her husband, his sister, and father of sustained mental and physical cruelty, including physical assaults during pregnancy.

Satheesh Sivasankara Pillai, Athulya's husband, was detained at Thiruvananthapuram airport upon his return from the UAE. A Lookout Notice had been issued against Satheesh following allegations of domestic abuse leading to Athulya's death. The Kerala Police are investigating the possibility of abetment and foul play in the dowry case.

Meanwhile, the case involving Athulya's death is under investigation by the Kerala Crime Branch. While Athulya's body was laid to rest in Dubai by the father's family, Vipanchika's remains were repatriated to Kerala by her family.

The forensic report confirmed that Vaibhavi was suffocated to death, and Vipanchika died by hanging. Forensic analysis of Vipanchika's laptop is being conducted, which may reveal crucial digital evidence. The Crime Branch is planning to bring Vipanchika's husband back to Kerala for interrogation.

In a separate case, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra, are under investigation for their alleged involvement in a Rs600 million fraud case. A Lookout Notice has been issued against both Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra to prevent them from fleeing the country. However, it's important to note that this case is unrelated to the domestic abuse allegations in Kerala.

The maid of Vipanchika has given a statement to the Crime Branch, and a statement from the original version of Vipanchika's Facebook note, which was deleted later, is a potential piece of evidence. The name of the man charged with fencing and suspected crimes in the marriage matter, according to the statement of Vipanchika's mother Shailaja, is not provided in the available information.

As the investigations continue, the families and friends of Vipanchika and Athulya seek justice for the tragic losses they have suffered. The Kerala Police reiterate their commitment to bringing the perpetrators of these heinous acts to light and ensuring that such incidents do not occur again.
