In a groundbreaking move, the U.S. Commerce Department has made history by releasing a federal dataset on-chain, marking the first-ever instance of such a release. The data was published on nine blockchains, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL).

Meanwhile, the crypto market has seen some notable movements. Ethereum slipped below the $4.5K support, dipping to $4.48K, while Solana surged past the $210 mark, reaching $215. This upward trend for Solana was further emphasised by DeFi Development Corp., who purchased $77 million worth of Solana (SOL), increasing their holdings to a staggering 1.83 million SOL worth $371 million.

Spot Ethereum ETFs and Spot Bitcoin ETFs have also experienced significant inflows. Ethereum ETFs added $39.2 million, marking six straight inflows, while Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $179 million on August 28, marking four consecutive inflow days.

On the economic front, the U.S. GDP grew by 3.3% in Q2, surpassing expectations of 3.0 - 3.1%. Equity indices rallied modestly during this period, while Bitcoin only increased by 0.15%. The digital currency is currently oscillating in a tight range of $110.9K to $112.3K.
