On August 27, at 4:50 AM, a collision between a tank motor ship and a cargo motor ship occurred on the Rhine river at Wesseling (Rhein kilometer 671). The exact location of the incident was near Duisburg and Köln-Godorf.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the collision. However, both ships sustained significant damage and the cargo ship was temporarily prevented from continuing its journey due to the damage. The tank motor ship was secured after the collision.
