Two Men Charged for Cheating at Poker in California Casinos

Two men, Vaagn Galustyan, 52, and Armin Martirosyan, 53, have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime. The alleged offenses, which began around 2019, involve cheating at poker in California casinos, resulting in winnings of over $30,000.

Galustyan and Martirosyan employed an age-old cheating technique to bend the corners of high-value cards, allowing them to gain an unfair advantage. The men targeted Harrah's San Diego Resort & Casino and Pala Casino Spa Resort, successfully pulling off their scheme for some time.

Their actions were eventually exposed thanks to modern technology. CCTV cameras at the casinos captured the men's illicit activities, leading to their arrest and subsequent charges.

If found guilty, Galustyan and Martirosyan face a maximum prison sentence of three years and eight months. The pair will now await their trial, with the outcome set to determine their future in the criminal justice system.
