The Game Changer: 🎲 Dominic Tiberio

Born on January 11, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., Dominic showcased remarkable engineering skills after graduating from Chicago Technical College in 1962. Following a successful stint in the US Army, Dominic joined Bally Manufacturing in August 1963, where he made a groundbreaking contribution to the gaming industry – the Money Honey game. This mechanical marvel was the first electro-mechanical slot machine, paving the way for Bally to become a slot machine heavyweight.

Over the years, Dominic led or oversaw the development of popular slot games like Game Maker, Black Gold, Diamond Line, Bonus Frenzy, Triple Blazing 7s, Fire & Ice, Millionaire Sevens, Monte Carlo, and Pick Em Poker. And, don't forget about Bally's fun and iconic Betty Boop slot theme, included in their first Wide Area Progressive link, Thrillions. After an impressive career spanning several decades, Dominic called it quits at Bally in 2008, choosing to retire and settle in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Master Operator: 🎲 Robert Allen

Robert Allen, born in 1955 in Akron, Ohio, is the fourth of five siblings. A music enthusiast from a young age, he earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas in 1978. As his brother Mike, a gaming management executive at Harrah's, encouraged him, his career trajectory took a turn towards the casino gaming industry. Starting as a Slot Floor Supervisor in 1984 at Harrah's Marina Casino, Robert soon moved to the Tropicana Casino & Resort, where he spent the next 14 years and reached the position of Executive Director of Slot Operations.

Robert's gaming talent took him to the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Indians in May 2000, where he oversaw the slot operations for the Tribe's two casinos. He was instrumental in implementing Ticket-in-Ticket-Out technology, slot upgrades, and significant revenue boosts. Known for maintaining test banks and ensuring the latest games hit the casino floor, Robert was a pioneer in his field. He shared performance data and player preferences with slot vendors, enhancing game performance and benefiting both parties.

Later, Robert joined Pinnacle Entertainment as Corporate Vice President of Casino Operations, overseeing gaming activities across 16 casinos, including the Ameristar properties. Robert fostered a collaborative relationship with each management team, promoting a unified understanding of gaming performance analytics and reports across the enterprise. He also played a vital role in designing and developing the gaming floor for the new L'Auberge Baton Rouge casino.
