Nizhny Novgorod Marathon Celebrates Fifth Anniversary with Spectacular Display
The city of Nizhny Novgorod is gearing up for the fifth anniversary of its annual marathon, scheduled to take place on the 6th and 7th of September. Over 10,000 runners from across the country are expected to participate in this year's event.
In preparation for the big day, the Nizhny Novgorod TV tower has undergone a transformation. The tower, a prominent landmark in the city, has been painted in the official colors of the marathon - red and blue. The media facade of the tower will continue to display the marathon's logo, a letter "M" formed by two "N"s, as well as the phrases "Nizhny Novgorod Marathon" and "Run in Nizhny 6-7 September".
The thematic illumination of the tower will operate daily from 20:30 to 21:00 (MSK) until the end of August. On the marathon days (6 and 7 September), the illumination will continue. The illumination will also be displayed daily until 31 August, with the addition of the phrases "Nizhny Novgorod Marathon" and "Run in Nizhny 6-7 September" on the media facade.
The ticker tape on the media facade of the tower will display the marathon's dates (6 and 7 September) throughout the event. The responsible organization for the idea to paint and transform the Nizhny Novgorod TV Tower in connection with the marathon was the city administration of Nizhny Novgorod.
