In September, Donald Trump will return to the United Kingdom for a four-day informal summer visit, marking his second state visit since leaving office. The primary purpose of the visit is to revisit his two golf courses in Scotland.

During his stay, Trump is expected to meet with several UK political figures. He has expressed appreciation for the support he has received from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, whom he praised after Starmer's election victory in 2024. Trump also expressed respect for Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, with whom he has shared a stage at rallies during both the 2020 and 2024 presidential races.

Trump's visit to the UK has been met with mixed reactions. While some politicians have expressed support for his visit, others have been critical. In 2019, Trump called London's Mayor, Sir Sadiq Khan, a "stone cold loser" on Twitter. This is not the first time Trump has attacked London's mayor, as he also made derogatory remarks about Khan during a press conference in Scotland.

However, Sir Sadiq Khan's mayoral spokesperson has responded positively to Trump's potential visit to London. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has also intervened in Trump's criticism of Sir Sadiq Khan, stating that they are friends.

Trump's second state visit will be accompanied by his wife, First Lady Melania Trump. During a press conference on Monday, Trump expressed having "great support" from Sir Keir Starmer. The spokesperson highlighted London's diversity and its economic benefits, emphasising the city's appeal to visitors.

Trump has shown support for various UK political figures, including Sir Keir Starmer and Nigel Farage. He described Sir Keir Starmer as slightly liberal and Nigel Farage as slightly conservative. Trump also believes that Sir Keir Starmer will be a tax cutter.

One topic that Trump is likely to discuss during his visit is immigration. He stated that immigration is now bigger than ever before in the UK. This statement comes amidst ongoing debates about immigration policies in the UK and the EU.

Trump will be hosted at Windsor Castle during his second state visit. The visit is expected to be a significant event in the UK's political calendar, with many anticipating Trump's interactions with UK political figures and his views on various issues.
