Tough Start to the Season: Morgan Pearson Withdraws from T100
When it comes to triathlon, Morgan Pearson's name rings out like a fanfare. A two-time Olympic medalist and one of PTO’s “Hotshots” for the 2025 season, Pearson was slated to open the T100 Triathlon World Tour in Singapore on April 6. But fate had other — and far rougher — plans.
By the way, that’s not the only hot news. We’re excited to let our readers know they can watch triathlon online for free on our website.
Bike Crash
What was meant to be just another training ride turned into a crash and a fractured wrist. Doctors gave a clear verdict: no racing. Pearson is officially out of the first stop in the biggest triathlon series of the year.
Pearson Speaks Out About the Injury
On Instagram, Pearson expressed his disappointment over missing the upcoming event in Singapore. He revealed that a bad bike crash during training had resulted in a fractured wrist. Initially, he attempted to push through the injury, but after consulting with his medical team, he made the prudent decision to let the bone heal properly instead of risking further damage.
Hard to argue with that — health comes first. According to Pearson, the fracture is expected to take around 4–6 weeks to heal, and he has already completed several weeks of recovery. Despite the setback, he remains optimistic. He mentioned that he can still do some training while wearing a split/removable cast and is looking forward to traveling to Singapore to observe the race and the level of competition in person.
What Does This Mean for T100?
Pearson’s participation was expected to heat things up in Singapore, especially alongside names like reigning T100 champ Marten Van Riel and IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion Jelle Geens.
But Pearson’s absence is no reason to skip the action — you can still watch the triathlon live online for free on our website. Enjoy the race!
