Transfer Agreement Reached: Fabian Rieder to Move from Augsburg to Rennes as Per Terms Negotiated

Fabian Rieder, a Swiss midfielder who started the first two matches for Stade Rennais, is set to join Augsburg in a significant move for both clubs. According to reports from Ouest-France, an agreement has been reached between the two clubs, with the transfer fee estimated to be around 10 million euros.

The departure of Rieder could potentially impact Stade Rennais' plans in the attacking department, as the French club is now exploring other options. It has been suggested that they may be considering signing Breel Embolo from Monaco as a potential addition to their attacking department.

Embolo, known for his versatility as an offensive player, has also been linked with a move to Stade Rennais. If the potential signing materialises, he could fill the void left by Rieder.

Meanwhile, Augsburg is set to welcome Rieder as a new midfielder. To replace him in their offensive line, the German club is reportedly considering Ismaël Gharbi, a 21-year-old winger on loan from the Portuguese club SC Braga. Gharbi will join alongside Rieder, who was signed from Stade Rennes.

Interestingly, Stade Rennais may not be looking to sign an additional attacker but instead, a versatile offensive player. The trail for Conrad Harder has significantly cooled for Stade Rennais, suggesting that they may be focusing their transfer activity towards this type of player.

As the transfer window continues, the focus remains on these potential moves. The possible addition of Breel Embolo to Stade Rennais' squad and the departure of Fabian Rieder to Augsburg are developments to watch closely.
