Train Station Reken: Maneuver Concludes in a Meadow
In the early hours of this morning, around 06:30, a collision occurred on the Aeckern road in Reken, near the train station. The incident involved a local driver from Reken, who was travelling towards the train station, and an unidentified truck driver.
According to reports, the local driver swerved to avoid a potential collision, causing damage to the truck and a nearby fence. The truck, which was fleeing, also sustained significant damage. The driver of the initial vehicle was involved in the incident, but no injuries or further details about the truck or the driver have been reported.
The police are still seeking information about the fleeing truck driver and the incident. They are requesting anyone with information to direct it to the traffic commission in Borken at Tel. (02861) 9000.
The Aeckern road was completely closed for the removal of the damaged truck, causing disruption to the morning commute. As of now, the road remains closed for the same reason.
