Train departs from A7 highway, halts on open field
In an incident that occurred around 2:50 PM on Monday, a 62-year-old truck driver had an accident on the A7 highway towards Hamburg. The driver's articulated lorry veered off the road to the right for unknown reasons, resulting in a significant accident.
Fortunately, the truck driver escaped the accident unharmed. The truck, however, did not fare as well. It broke through a wildlife fence and came to a halt in a field.
The total estimated damage from the accident is approximately €11,000. The damage to the truck amounts to approximately €5,000, while the damage to the wildlife fence is estimated at around €6,000.
It's important to note that no other vehicles were involved in the accident. The exact cause of the truck veering off the road remains unknown.
Despite extensive search efforts, the name of the truck driver involved in the accident has not been released to the public.
