In the past 24 hours, several incidents have occurred across our region, affecting both residents and commuters. Here's a summary of the events that have taken place.
Road Accidents
- A cyclist in Munich sustained severe injuries following a traffic accident on Wittstaig Street, K 6769. Elsewhere, a rear-end collision on the B28 near Lichtenstein caused traffic delays and around 5,000 euros in damage to both vehicles. In Reutlingen, a cyclist was involved in a traffic accident on Donaustraße, resulting in a hospital visit.
- On Deizisauer Straße in Denkendorf, two individuals were injured in a traffic accident on Thursday morning. A driver failing to yield the right of way on Gebrüder-Gross-Straße in Bad Urach resulted in severe injuries to a moped driver, but more details about this incident are currently unavailable.
- A motorcyclist fell on Göppinger Steige in Sonnenbühl, causing around 3,000 euros in damage to his Yamaha.
Fire and Rescue Services
- Firefighters and police were called to two field fires on Thursday evening in Underensingen, one near Hungerbergweg and the other near Esslinger Straße at the Röhmsee.
Incidents of Crime
- A supermarket in Frommern had to be evacuated on Thursday evening due to a suspected shoplifter using pepper spray. The Esslingen traffic police are seeking witnesses to a traffic accident in Schanbach where an 83-year-old pedestrian was injured.
- A VW Beetle caught fire on Thursday afternoon in Alteburgstraße in Reutlingen due to a technical defect. Meanwhile, police in Filderstadt are investigating a man for suspected sexual molestation of an eight-year-old girl on a bus.
- An altercation occurred on Thursday evening at Bürger Turm in Albstadt, involving the same group as a previous altercation on Sunday.
- A pub in Herrenberger Straße in Tübingen was broken into early Friday morning.
Other Noteworthy Incidents
- A 45-year-old man was temporarily arrested in Hinters Fritzenhaus street in Mössingen on Thursday evening, and he was subsequently taken to a specialist clinic. An elderly woman in Rottenburg was prevented from losing a large sum of money on Thursday morning due to a vigilant kiosk employee.
