Traffic Management Equilibrium on Roadways L755 and L637
In Paderboro, the local police force took to the streets on Sunday, April 6, as part of the ongoing #LEBEN campaign. The initiative, a commitment by the Paderboro Police to reduce traffic accidents, saw speed and passage controls carried out on the L755 (Bollerbornstraße) between Altenbeken and Langeland.
During the control period, 14 speed violations were detected. Among those were motorcyclists who had already travelled the L755 before the ban and car drivers. One motorcycle rider, in particular, was measured at 31 km/h above the permitted 100 km/h, facing a fine of 200 euros and a point in Flensburg.
Eleven motorcyclists ignored the passage ban on the L755, which has been in effect since April 1, and received appropriate fines.
The controls on the L755 and L637 were not the only focus of the #LEBEN campaign. Further controls took place on the L637 between Büren-Harth on the Almetal. On this stretch, eight speed violations were detected.
One notable incident occurred when a 49-year-old Opel driver from Höxter was stopped by the police on suspicion of alcohol or drug use. The individual was found to be driving without a license and suffered a circulatory collapse during the control, requiring an ambulance to take him to a hospital in Bad Driburg.
As a result, the 49-year-old now faces charges of driving without a license, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The public prosecutor's office (Staatsanwaltschaft), which typically handles such cases in Germany, has taken over the formal charging of the individual, following the initial arrest by the police.
However, it should be noted that no new incidents of circulatory collapse or hospitalization were reported in the current paragraph. Moreover, no new blood samples were taken in the current paragraph, and no new cases of suspected alcohol or drug use were reported.
