Traffic Havoc on Bypasses Leads to Severe Injuries in Langen
In an unexpected turn of events, two cars collided head-on at a roundabout on Pittlerstraße around 6 PM, causing significant traffic disruptions in the region. This incident followed another accident that occurred at approximately 5:20 PM, but no reports of injuries or fatalities were confirmed at the time.
The initial accident resulted in an injured individual who was promptly transported to a hospital by ambulance. The cause of this accident remains unknown. The second accident, which took place on the detour route between Langen and Egelsbach, did not result in any immediate reports of injuries or fatalities. However, it caused traffic chaos, exacerbating the problems caused by the initial accident.
Police are currently investigating the causes of both accidents. The weather conditions during both accidents were poor and dark, preventing the deployment of a rescue helicopter. As a result, the K168 remained closed for several hours while investigations were carried out.
Many drivers were forced to take the Moefelder Landstraße as an alternative due to the closure of the K168, leading to significant traffic jams in and around Langen-Oberlinden during evening rush hour. The second accident, along with the closure of the K168, caused a significant disruption to the usual traffic flow in the area.
At the moment, there is no publicly available information about an accident that occurred at 5:20 PM on Prinzessin-Margaret-Allee near Schloss Wolfsgarten. Police are urging anyone with information regarding either of the accidents to come forward and assist in their investigations.
As the investigations continue, the community is asked to exercise patience and caution on the roads, especially as the weather conditions improve and traffic returns to normal. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
