Tournament Umpires and Officials Announcement: Complete Roster for Every Asia Cup 2025 Match
The much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025 is set to commence on September 9, with the group stage spanning over ten days until September 19. The tournament, featuring 12 matches, will see Group A consisting of Oman, UAE, Pakistan, and India, while Group B will be contested by Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
The umpiring panel for the tournament has been announced, with a diverse group of experienced officials set to take charge. Virender Sharma, Rohan Pandit, Gazi Sohel, Masudur Rahman, Raveendra Wimalasiri, Ruchira Palliyaguruge, Ahmad Pakteen, Izatullah Safi, Asif Yaqoob, and Faisal Afridi have all been selected to officiate the matches.
In the opening match of the tournament, the India-Pakistan clash on September 10, Palliyaguruge and Rahman will be the on-field umpires, with Ruchira Palliyaguruge serving as the fourth umpire. Izatullah Safi has been appointed as the fourth umpire for the same match. The match referee for the encounter will be Andy Pycroft, while Richie Richardson will be the match referee for the Sri Lanka-Pakistan match on September 11.
Meanwhile, the fourth umpire for the Bangladesh vs Afghanistan match is Ahmad Pakteen, with Raveendra Wimalasiri and Rohan Pandit as the on-field umpires for the Bangladesh vs Hong Kong match. Asif Yaqoob and Virender Sharma will be the on-field umpires for the Afghanistan vs Hong Kong match.
