Google Unveils Its Latest Devices: The Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Pixel 10 Pro XL
In a virtual event moderated by Jimmy Fallon, Google announced its latest additions to the Pixel family: the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google's newest foray into foldable technology, boasts an IP68 dust and water rating, making it the first folding phone to offer such protection. This device also features a 5,015 mAh battery, a 0.1-inch larger cover display at 6.4 inches, and a triple camera setup. The internal 8-inch display remains the same as last year's model, but the device is 0.3mm thicker. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold supports 30W wired charging and 15W Pixelsnap wireless charging.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Pixel 10 Pro XL share similarities with their camera systems, each featuring a triple camera setup. However, the Pixel 10 Pro XL offers the best smartphone camera zoom I've tried, with a new AI-powered 100x zoom feature.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro XL, Google's latest flagship Android phone, is the first to feature magnets built in, supporting the new Qi2 magnetic charging standard. It also offers fast 25W Qi 2.2 wireless charging and the fastest 45W charging on a Pixel device. The phone sports a 6.8-inch display and is guaranteed seven years of updates.
The Pixel 10, while featuring AI capabilities, needs optimization, according to Google. The Pixel 9 Pro, though nearly identical to its predecessor from last year, introduces a new 100x ProRes camera zoom.
Both the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Pixel 10 Pro XL are set to redefine smartphone technology, offering innovative features and top-notch performance. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new devices.
