Title: Water Conservation efforts by Constance
In the heart of Konstanz, Germany, on August 9, 2025, the local fire department was called into action after receiving a distress signal at 3:38 PM. The incident involved a capsized boat at the Old Rhine Bridge, as reported by the Konstanz Fire Department to news aktuell.
The spokesman for the Konstanz fire department, Fabian Daltoe, was at the centre of the operations. Strong currents in the Seerhein made the rescue mission challenging. The fire department's rescue boats had to be secured to shore using a winch from a fire truck to ensure safety.
The DLRG (German Life Saving Association) reported that several people were in the water, but the fire department did not report any casualties at this stage. Air bags were used to bring the boat back to the surface, and it was towed downstream towards the Bodensee Forum.
Upon reaching the Bodensee Forum, the Konstanz Fire Department secured the capsized boat using their fireboat and a multi-purpose boat. The boat was then lifted out of the water using a trailer at the nearby shipyard and taken for further inspection.
The fire department's operations at the Bodensee Forum and the shipyard were concluded, marking the successful end of the rescue mission. The boat's condition and further details about the incident were not specified, and the Konstanz Fire Department did not release any further statements about the incident.
