In an unsettling incident that occurred on Saturday night, a prowler was caught on camera in a multi-family building on Geschwister-Scholl-Straße in Hochneukirch. At around 22:30, the suspect, described as a male in his 20s to 30s, approximately 180 to 185 cm tall, with a three-day beard, wearing a gray hoodie and a light cap, entered an apartment through an open terrace door.

The occupants of the ground-floor apartment received an alarm on their mobile phone, and they were able to observe the suspect searching drawers in the living room via a surveillance camera. However, before the police arrived, the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The Police Headquarters Rhein-Kreis Neuss is currently investigating if the intruder stole anything. They are urging witnesses to contact the Criminal Commissioner 14 at 02131 300-0.
