Tom Ford's Black Orchid Reserve: A New Era for the Iconic Fragrance

Tom Ford's brand is stepping into a new era with the release of Black Orchid Reserve, a concentrated and cinematic take on the original Black Orchid fragrance. The new scent, designed by Haider Ackermann who was appointed as the creative director of Tom Ford in 2024, marks a significant chapter for the signature scent that has remained a pillar since its launch in 2006.

Tilda Swinton, the face of Tom Ford Beauty's new fragrance, embodies the essence of Black Orchid Reserve in the campaign, which captures her in deliberate, fluid motion. The campaign was designed by Haider Ackermann and shot by Inez and Vinoodh.

Black Orchid Reserve deepens the original's profile with an amplified Black Orchid accord and a phantom-like Ghost Orchid note, captured via headspace technology. The fragrance also includes notes of ylang ylang lifted with timut pepper, roasted tonka, patchouli, and amber in the drydown.

Haider Ackermann is steering Tom Ford's image across all categories, and the roll-out for Black Orchid Reserve starts on September 1. The fragrance arrives in multiple sizes, with the pricing for the larger flacons at the top end of the Tom Ford Beauty range.

Tilda Swinton expressed her honour to play a part in the history of Tom Ford's Black Orchid, stating, "It's an honour to be the face of Black Orchid Reserve, a fragrance that embodies the essence of Tom Ford's iconic scent in a new and exciting way."
