Three Kings’ Action 2024 Unites for Children and the Amazon

The 66th Three Kings’ Action will take place in January 2024, carrying the motto ‘Together for our earth – in the Amazon and worldwide’. This long-running campaign, launched in 1959, has grown into the world’s largest solidarity effort for disadvantaged children. Children dressed as the Three Kings will visit homes, bringing blessings and collecting donations for those in need.

The tradition sees young participants, often in colourful robes and crowns, marking doorways with the chalk inscription ‘20C+M+B+24’—a symbol of the blessing ‘Christ bless this house’. The campaign is organised by Kindermissionswerk ‘Die Sternsinger’ and the Bund der Deutschen Katholischen Jugend (BDKJ)*, both linked to the Catholic Church.

The Three Kings’ Action continues to unite communities in support of vulnerable children. With donations collected during the visits, funds will go toward projects in the Amazon and beyond. The campaign remains a key event for charitable giving each new year.
