Three individuals sustained injuries at the junction of Three
On September 1st, an accident occurred at the intersection area of Lohmar on the federal highway 3 (BAB 3), resulting in three people being injured.
According to the Rhein-Sieg District Police Headquarters, the traffic light system at the intersection was completely inoperable at the time of the accident. A 40-year-old man from Cologne was driving on the BAB 3, attempting to turn left onto the federal road 484 (B 484) upon exiting the highway at the Lohmar interchange.
The 40-year-old ignored the rule requiring him to yield to those on the B 484, colliding with a Kia driven by a 58-year-old woman from Lohmar who was coming from his left. Both vehicles were declared total losses with estimated damages of approximately 55,000 euros. The 58-year-old woman and her two passengers sustained minor injuries.
The police investigation resulted in the Tesla driver facing charges of negligent bodily harm in a traffic accident. The search results do not provide the name of the police officer who led the investigation of the traffic accident in Lohmar on September 1.
