In a series of recent operations, the Federal Police Inspection Rosenheim has been active in ensuring the safety of rail passengers and rail facilities, as well as combating cross-border crime.

Over the weekend, three wanted men were arrested during border controls near Kiefersfelden. Among them was a 24-year-old Italian, who was apprehended during a long-distance train journey from Kufstein to Rosenheim. The Italian was wanted for theft, as per an arrest warrant issued by the public prosecutor's office in Essen, due to unpaid fines amounting to approximately 1,500 euros.

Meanwhile, a Romanian was arrested during a border control on the A93. The Romanian was wanted by Romanian authorities for crimes against public safety and order. His journey ended with his admission to Stadelheim prison.

The Federal Police Inspection Rosenheim, which covers the districts of Miesbach, Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and the city and district of Rosenheim, was responsible for these arrests. The inspectorate, headed by Stefan Kurth, is particularly active against cross-border crime and the smuggling of foreigners and irregular, illegal migration in an approximately 200-kilometer-long section of the German-Austrian border.

In a separate incident, a 24-year-old Italian was fined around 1,500 euros by the Federal Police for unknown offenses during a long-distance train journey. A Kosovar was also fined around 1,600 euros for unspecified reasons.

The Federal Police Station Garmisch-Partenkirchen is assigned to the Federal Police Inspection Rosenheim. For more information, please visit the websites www.bundespolizei.de and www.x.com/bpol_by, or contact the provided contact address.

It's important to note that both the Italian and the Kosovar were sentenced to nearly two months in prison in Bernau due to unpaid fines. The Romanian is currently awaiting extradition in Stadelheim prison.

The Federal Police Inspection Rosenheim ensures the safety of rail passengers and rail facilities on approximately 370 kilometers of track and in approximately 70 train stations and stops. Their efforts are crucial in maintaining law and order in the region, and in preventing and addressing various forms of cross-border crime.
