Thirty-six orphaned children in Krasnodar have received their own apartments.
In a heartwarming development, the city of Krasnodar has expanded its housing programme for orphaned children, purchasing an additional 36 apartments to bring the total to 100.
The latest addition, located at 212 Sormovskaya Street in the Komsomolsky District, was made possible through funding from both the regional and city budgets. In 2012, the city received around 40 million rubles from the regional budget and an additional 29 million from the city budget for this purpose.
The funding came from the regional targeted program "Children of Kuban" for the period of 2009-2013. The programme has seen the purchase of 34 apartments in 2009, followed by 30 in 2011, and 36 in 2012. Each apartment, approximately 44 sq. m, was designed to provide a safe and comfortable home for these children.
On December 27th, 36 orphaned children in Krasnodar received keys to their new apartments. The city's mayor, Vladimir Evlanov, expressed his wishes for the children's future success. He was joined by officials from the Krasnodar administration, who reported the news on their official internet portal.
However, information about who organized the financing of the 100 housing units for sick children in Krasnodar from 2009 to 2013 could not be found in the search results. Regardless, this initiative underscores the city's commitment to providing a better future for its most vulnerable citizens.
This programme is a significant step towards ensuring that every child in Krasnodar has a place to call home. It is a testament to the city's compassion and its unwavering dedication to the well-being of its children.
