In the heart of Duisburg, a theft has taken place, and the local police are appealing for information and witnesses to help identify the suspects involved.

The pair, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, are described as follows:

  • The man is approximately 1.75 meters tall, with dark hair, and was wearing light-colored pants and a white top.
  • The woman, also estimated to be of the same age, is about 1.60 meters tall, with long, dark hair tied in a ponytail. She was seen wearing dark clothing - pants and a blazer.

The incident occurred in an apartment within Duisburg, where an elderly woman was approached by two individuals who claimed they needed to check her television connection. One of the individuals stayed with the woman while the other moved around the apartment unsupervised. After a short time, one of the individuals left the apartment, claiming to retrieve a spare part from the car.

It was later that the woman from Duisburg noticed that several jewelry boxes had been emptied, and various pieces of real gold jewelry were missing.

Among the items taken were valuable pieces of gold jewelry.

The police are urging anyone with information about these described individuals to contact Criminal Commissioner 32 at telephone number 0203 2800.

For the safety of all residents, the police offer the following tip: Do not let unknown persons into your apartment, even under the pretext of repairs, checks, or emergencies. If uncertain, call the company conducting the check or dial the police emergency number 110.
