Kombi Pool Paffrath and Milchborntal Outdoor Pool Thrive Despite Staff Shortages During 2025 Season

The summer of 2025 saw numerous guests flocking to the Kombi pool Paffrath and the Milchborntal outdoor pool, with both venues offering a refreshing escape from the heat. Despite facing challenges due to staff shortages, particularly in pool supervision, the swimming operations were maintained safely and smoothly.

In an effort to accommodate more guests, extended opening hours have been implemented at Kombi pool Paffrath. The indoor and outdoor areas are now open on Thursdays from 6:15 AM to 9:00 PM. On Tuesdays, the outdoor area, including the heated 50m outdoor pool, is open from the same hours.

The digital ticketing system, introduced this year, has been well-received and helped reduce wait times at the outdoor pool cashier. Approximately 70,000 swimming guests visited the outdoor pool during the 2025 season, a figure similar to previous years.

The Bathing Operations Company, responsible for the management of these pools, is addressing the staff shortage issue through targeted recruitment campaigns, enhanced training programs, and a focus on promoting young talent.
