"The Roses Movie Unveils a Wide Range of Business Allies to Boost Film Premiere"
In the world of film, promotional campaigns often take unique forms. Such is the case with the recent release of "The Roses," a reimagining of the 1981 novel "The War of the Roses" and its 1989 film adaptation, directed by Jay Roach.
To mark the film's theatrical premiere on Aug. 29, 2025, a series of pop-up events took place on both coasts. Brentwood Country Mart in Los Angeles, The Boarding House in Nantucket, and Il Buco Vita in the Hamptons hosted these special events. Notable guests included director Jay Roach, who made an appearance at the L.A. pop-up event on Aug. 23.
One of the most exciting collaborations for the film was with Hedley & Bennett, a kitchenware company. They created a limited-edition apron inspired by "The Roses." This best-selling style features a blue denim base, red and white embroidery, and cream crossback straps. Each purchase of the apron comes with custom "The Roses" crab crackers.
The fashion, food, and lifestyle sectors also joined forces with the film, releasing special products as part of its promotional campaign. Lands' End, known for its cult-favorite canvas bags, released a "The Roses" We've Got Crabs Tote. The Voluspa Rose Otto x "The Roses" Classic Candle is housed in a 6.5-ounce collectible glass jar and is part of a limited-edition decorative gift box.
The Spice Lab also joined the collaboration with "The Roses" Got Crabs Seasonings, while card game I'm a Little Crabby, from the creators of Exploding Kittens, is celebrating the film's theatrical release.
West Hollywood florist Empty Vase created a bespoke bouquet of red and white roses for "The Roses," adding to the film's elegant and dramatic atmosphere.
The limited-edition apron can be used daily and is also suitable as a Halloween costume, making it a versatile addition to any kitchen. The Lands' End "The Roses" We've Got Crabs Tote, on the other hand, is a playful spin on the brand's classic design.
As "The Roses" continues to captivate audiences, these limited-edition merchandise items and pop-up events serve as a testament to the film's enduring appeal and the power of creative collaborations. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Andy Samberg, Kate McKinnon, and Allison Janney, promising a cast that is as compelling as the story itself.
