Kamchatka Krai Joins National Project "Family" in 2025

Kamchatka Krai is set to join the national project "Family" in 2025, marking a significant step towards improving the lives of families, children, the elderly, and promoting cultural infrastructure in the region. The announcement was made by the regional minister of social welfare and family policy, Alexey Bugaev.

The national project "Family" is a comprehensive initiative aimed at creating sustainable conditions for improving the lives of families and all categories of citizens. It covers various aspects of life, including family support, large families, motherhood and childhood protection, aging population, and family values.

The project aims to improve the quality of life for families with children, increase the number of large families, and provide them with priority support through social contracts. One-time payments for the first child and regional maternity capital for the second will continue under the national project "Family".

The project also includes the development of a long-term care system for the elderly and disabled, already implemented in eight comprehensive social service centers in Kamchatka Krai. Educational programs, cultural and sports events, and volunteer development are planned to increase the activity of the elderly and promote their social integration.

However, the national project does not provide specific details on how it will protect motherhood and childhood beyond the existing programs. Similarly, it does not mention any new initiatives for the support of fertility or children's development beyond the existing programs. The project also does not provide specific details on how it will improve the well-being of the elderly, beyond long-term care and social integration.

The national project "Family" replaces the existing "Demography" project and includes over 60 major events covering all regions of Russia. It is divided into five federal programs: "Family Support", "Large Family", "Protection of Motherhood and Childhood", "Aging Population", and "Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure".

With the implementation of the national project "Family", Kamchatka Krai is poised to make significant strides in improving the lives of its citizens, particularly families and the elderly. The project's comprehensive approach and focus on sustainability offer hope for a brighter future for the region.
