A climate action group called Letzte Generation said they had 150 participants. Their slogan for the event was "Climate protection equals democracy protection." According to a press release, a representative from the group stated that the climate crisis is severely threatening our democracy.
At noon on Saturday, police shut down traffic in both directions along Rahel-Hirsch-Straße. Officers cleared 74 people from the road, took their information, and forbade them from entering the government district. The authorities didn't receive prior notice of the gathering.
