The Future Unveiled: Accessibility Transformed Through Time Shift
In the heart of Hamburg, the Dialoghaus Hamburg has been hosting an immersive exhibition since April 2024 - "Time Shift - Journey into the Future". This innovative project, realised through the #Update Hamburg funding program of the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank (IFB Hamburg), aims to envision the future of a disability-accessible society.
The idea for Time Shift was conceived by Johannes Puch and Julian Mickisch, and developed in collaboration with Anna Sieroslawski of Dialogue Social Enterprise. Sieroslawski explains that the exhibition, accompanied by an expedition guide, offers guests an impression of what an inclusive future could look like and provides an opportunity for co-creation.
At Time Shift, guests are invited to step into a unique, darkened environment, reminiscent of an escape room. Equipped with special orientation devices, they navigate through the exhibition, making decisions about their actions. This interactive approach demonstrates how accessibility can be achieved, making it an engaging and enlightening experience for all.
The exhibition is currently aimed at private groups of four to 12 people, but plans are underway to target businesses interested in actively integrating inclusion into their corporate culture and seeking unique team-building measures.
IFB Hamburg, the central point of contact for funding in Hamburg, offers advice on city, federal government, and EU funding. Their funding program, #Update Hamburg, is a key resource for innovation and development projects in the city. The funding offered by IFB Hamburg has been crucial for the realization of projects like Time Shift.
The Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank (IFB Hamburg) supports a wide range of projects, including housing, economic development, environmental protection, and innovation. For more information about IFB Hamburg, visit www.ifbhh.de.
In addition to Time Shift, the Dialoghaus Hamburg houses the popular exhibition "Dialog in the Dark", complemented by the social enterprise Dialogue Social Enterprise. The development of both exhibitions has been instrumental thanks to the #Update Hamburg funding program of the IFB Hamburg.
