The Evolution of Fashion Through Technology and Sustainability

In an exciting development, our brand name is set to launch Digital Product Passports (DPPs), a revolutionary tool that promises to enhance transparency and traceability across the fashion supply chain. This move is set to benefit sellers, consumers, and the planet, as DPPs are accessible and poised to revolutionise the industry.

The brand's latest report, in partnership with Bain & Co, suggests that DPPs could double the lifetime value of fashion products. Consumers could see up to 65% greater resale value due to improved buyer confidence in a product's authenticity and condition.

The DPPs are digital records containing key product details like materials, origin, and care. They are set to launch in the EU in 2026.

Refiberd, a startup recognised for its AI-powered technology, has been honoured as the 2025 winner of the Trailblazer Programme by the Global Fashion Agenda and PDS Ventures. Refiberd's technology can scan and identify the material composition of textiles with remarkable accuracy, opening new doors in resale authentication, recycling, and traceability.

Refiberd's continued recognition on the global stage is inspiring and indicative of a global acceleration in a more circular fashion economy. The brand was awarded $300,000 in the Circular Fashion Fund competition, making Sarika Bajaj, Refiberd's co-founder and CEO, the Circular Fashion Innovator of the Year.

Alexis Hoopes, VP of Global Fashion at our brand name, stated that DPPs are critical to powering the future of circularity in fashion. Our brand name, as a global marketplace at the forefront of resale, is exploring how better product data can enable smarter buying, responsible selling, and a more trusted platform.

Sarika Bajaj, the trailblazing CEO of Refiberd, accepted the Trailblazer Programme award during the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen. The report from our brand name highlights how digital innovation can unlock real economic and environmental value-for brands, for platforms, and most importantly, for people.

The adoption of DPPs could support a more circular economy by keeping quality fashion items in use longer. As we move forward, the Road Ahead promises more insights, innovations, and stories as we continue to build the future of fashion.
