The establishment known as The Rosebud in Fulda will cease operations come Sunday
The Rosenbad bathing facility in Fulda will close for the current season on Sunday, September 7th, at 8 PM, according to an announcement by RhönEnergie. The decision was made based on weather forecasts and expected bathing activity, with cooler autumn temperatures leading to a presumed decrease in visitors.
However, there was initially a possibility of extending the season by one week. Unfortunately, the forecasts and anticipated bathing activity did not support this extension.
The Rosenbad, a popular bathing facility in Fulda, is not managed by RhönEnergie. The company only made the announcement regarding its closure.
Meanwhile, the Fritz-Kunze-Bad in Heringen will also close for the summer season. The natural outdoor pool will close on Friday, September 5th, with a special dog swimming event on September 6th. After the event, the pool will close for revision work until September 22nd, and the winter season will start on September 23rd.
Dogs are allowed to swim in the Fritz-Kunze-Bad on September 6th, and provisions will be made for the physical well-being of dog owners during the event, according to the city's homepage.
It's important to note that the decision to close both facilities was not based on any specific weather event. The closures are for the current season only.
Regarding the dog swimming day or the closure of the Fritz-Kunze-Bad for revision work, no weather-related decisions were mentioned.
The Fritz-Kunze-Bad is a bathing facility located in Heringen, while the Rosenbad is a bathing facility in Fulda. The bathing season 2025 ends on September 7th, 2025, for both facilities.
This marks the end of the summer bathing season in Fulda and Heringen. Enjoy the last few days of swimming before the facilities close for the winter!
