The DAFNE consortium's shift towards digitization
The Italian healthcare sector is undergoing a significant digital transformation, with the introduction of the new platform, CONDAFNE, by the National Agency for Regional Health Services (AGENAS). This initiative marks a new era in digitalization for public health in Italy.
The DAFNE Consortium, established in 1991 by Pharmaceutical Companies and Intermediate Drug Distributors, has been at the forefront of this change. With over 500 organizations, including Production Companies, Intermediate Distributors, Warehouses, and Healthcare Structures, the DAFNE Consortium is making a concerted effort to put companies in its ecosystem in the best conditions to seize the opportunities presented by the new compliance requirement.
The migration to the new CONDAFNE platform has already begun and will involve all associated companies, partners, and users. The platform offers digital conservation in compliance with regulations for all documents in the Order Cycle, a service that historically the DAFNE Consortium has provided in structured standard electronic format.
The new CONDAFNE platform is designed to adapt to many innovations in the regulatory framework and create an innovative environment for future functionalities. It also offers the service of electronic invoicing between B2B private companies and towards the Public Administration (PA).
The mandatory electronic invoicing between private subjects, starting from January 1, 2019, could significantly boost the "digital propensity" of Italian companies. Over half of the companies invest less than 1% of their turnover in digitalization projects, and one in three prioritizes internal process digitalization.
The experiments for the electronic sending of Delivery Notes in the healthcare supply chain have been underway for some time, with the DAFNE Consortium playing a significant role. The Consortium has also recently strengthened its technological infrastructure with a new platform, CONDAFNE, which will allow the ecosystem to adapt easily to new regulatory requirements and seize opportunities offered by Digital Evolution.
The DAFNE Consortium aims to continue being pioneers of change, preserving the pioneering spirit that has always characterized the organization. The strategic priorities for 2018 are focused on laying the foundations for further development in the coming years.
Daniele Marazzi, Deputy Chairman of the DAFNE Consortium, believes that the new compliance requirement presents a significant opportunity for those who actively and consciously face the change. The DAFNE Consortium's offer to its ecosystem includes a "Standard Parcels" service with the contribution of Warehouses and Farmadati.
The source of this information is the Fatturazione Elettronica & eCommerce B2B Observatory, Executive Summary, June 2018. The DAFNE Consortium is currently undergoing a transition phase to expand its offer of services and solutions related to Digital Innovation in the extended Health supply chain. The Consortium is committed to driving this digital transformation forward, ensuring a more efficient and modern healthcare system for Italy.
