The Police Inspectorate Emsland/Grafschaft Bentheim has announced a special prevention event focused on alcohol addiction, taking place in Lingen, Germany. The event, titled "Uli Borowka - Drug Prevention and Drug Aid e.V.", is in cooperation with the Diakonisches Werk, the Caritas Association Emsland, the district of Emsland, and the cultural department of the city of Lingen.

The event will take place on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 7:30 PM to approximately 9:30 PM at the Theater an der Wilhelmshöhe in Lingen. Former Bundesliga player Uli Borowka, who played for Borussia Mönchengladbach and Werder Bremen, will be giving a lecture at the event.

Mr. Borowka, who belongs to the organization DrugStop, will be discussing his life with alcohol addiction, from his sporting career to the deep fall and the successful path to a life free from addiction. Tickets for the event can be purchased online at tickets.vibus.de starting immediately.
