The club remains hanging in the Uzun fissure.

Without him, nothing functions at 1 FC Nuremberg!

The climate is growing more turbulent. - The club remains hanging in the Uzun fissure.

Seventeen-year-old forward Can Uzun (18) has endured a five-game slump without scoring a goal - his longest dry spell as a professional. It's been just as poor a run for his team, FCN.

In a bind!

Back in late March at Hertha BSC, when they secured a 3-3 draw, Uzun netted a brace, snagging the last points for his team. However, it was all downhill from there. The Uzun effect and FCN's decline gathered momentum. His last appearance saw him on the bench during a 1-3 loss to Düsseldorf last week; the first time since October (1-5 against St. Pauli). He entered the game toward the second half's start but, disappointingly, his attacking brethren matched his performance.

Undeniably, Uzun's recent dip symbolizes how reliant FCN has become on his contributions. He amassed a whopping 60% of the team's second-half goals (9 of 15)! Were it not for his strikes, they might have already been demoted.

With Uzun's pending summer transfer to Frankfurt for a lucrative €10M, FCN needs to find a replacement swiftly.
